Ernie has been fantastic! He is an extremely talented musician, who is also very professional, friendly, and perceptive to our crowd. He plays music that everyone knows and loves, and you can sing along with! Our members have thoroughly enjoyed his performances and we look forward to having him play for us again!

When Ernie Garland climbed up Looking Glass Rock in North Carolina several years ago, the DeLand resident and musician was inspired to write his song, "Edge of the World." That song became the title track of Garland's new CD, a collection of light rock and folkie pop that also includes his original song "Princess in Disguise," the traditional spiritual "Wayfaring Stranger," the classic "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" and Christian pop-rocker Phil Keaggy's brooding "Sunday School." Garland, who plays guitar, keyboards and mandolin, will perform during a CD release party at 7 p.m. tonight [11/14/2008] at the Coffee Bistro 101, 101 N. Woodland Blvd., DeLand. Information: 386-747-0698.
